Marriage

Let's look at this in a different light. Revelation 19:7 - Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honor to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready. Those that have given their live to JESUS are the Bride and JESUS is the Bridegroom, Mark 2:19. When we accepted JESUS as our savior and LORD, we enter into an agreement with HIM forever. Therefore we have entered into a marriage. 2 Cor. 11:2-4 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. Espoused - http://vocabulary-vocabulary.com/dictionary/espouse.php. Now we the Bride await for our groom to return for us. When Jesus comes again, He will come "to present the church to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish" (Eph. 5:27). What a blow to His dignity and honor it will be if He comes and finds His bride stained with sin. Pure religion is to "keep oneself unspotted from the world" (Jam. 1:27). 1 John 2:15 Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them.
Now we know that we are in a relationship with JESUS, How is that going?
Is JESUS judging you? Is JESUS passing judgement? Just how is JESUS treating you the Bride?
Let's look at JESUS.
What Jesus Did and Does for His Bride.
He loves her, He died for her, He cares for her, He becomes one with her.
What the Bride Must Do for Jesus.
She must realize her importance, She must wear His name, She must not commit spiritual adultery, She must bear fruit.
Once again, How is our relationship with JESUS going? How is JESUS treating us? How are we treating JESUS?
Do I know how important that I am to my Bride/Wife/Husband? Do I wear HIS name? Do I commit spiritual adultery? Do I bear HIS fruit?
I believe that if we focus on our relationship with JESUS then all of our other relationship's follow.
We need to learn from our Groom on how to treat others as HE treats us. For it is that when we start to mistreat others that we are starting to feel that our groom is mistreating us. We all know that JESUS never mistreats HIS Bride, but it is us that is mistreating our groom by focusing on other things rather than the groom.
If we are pointing the finger at others then this is us judging ourselves for we are doing the same as them or worse. Matthew 7:1
Furthermore we are not to judge but to be fruit inspectors. For if our brother is not producing fruit then we should go to him in private. Some studying will give this clarity.
Galatians 5:22-23 fruit of the spirit, Galatians 5:19-21 acts of the flesh. Looking at these and seeing if our brother/sister is walking by acts of flesh or by the spirit is not judging but instead it is INSPECTION. Judging is what JESUS will do on judgement day and then HE will pass judgement on all.
I also see that in Romans 14:13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumbling block or an occasion to fall in his brother's way. When we focus on things of this world we lose focus on the heavenly things that we should be focused on. 1 John 2:15 Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them.
Let's take an inspection of our relationship with JESUS and focus on getting the things that are hindering our relationship out of our hearts and minds, so that we can fully focus on our Groom as the Bride is to do.
Lets get prepared for our groom so that we will not be deceived. Matthew 24:4-14. For because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him. II Peter 3
